You will need one to leave the hospital so be sure to plan ahead of time. To purchase a car seat click here. Stroller: Since your newborn can’t sit
yet, you will need a baby stroller that reclines.
You may want to invest in both a sturdy baby carriage and a
lightweight
travel stroller. For
additional convenience, buy a stroller with a car seat adaptor so
you can easily transfer baby from car to stroller.
There are also double strollers and even and
triple and quad
strollers for multiples! Portable Crib: Your baby can sleep
comfortably away from home with any of a number of travel
crib, travel bassinet, and travel playpen options. Baby Carrier: Baby carriers, like those

and New Native Carrier, come in a variety of carrying styles.
Try on several to see which is most comfortable for you and your
baby. Diaper Bag:
Use a diaper bag to carry all your baby’s needs wherever you go.
There are many stylish and practical options to choose from. Nursery Bassinet: A bassinet is the perfect first bed for your newborn. They are smaller than baby cribs so they can fit in your room to keep baby close by at night. Choose a rocking bassinet or one with a vibrator or music that will help your baby sleep comfortably. sheets and blankets! Changing Table:
A changing table is a must for changing all those wet diapers.
They also serve as great storage spaces for all your diaper
changing needs. Be sure to
have extra changing table pad covers on hand for extra dirty days! Rocking Chair: A rocking chair or
glider is a must have for new mothers – especially for those with
colicky babies! Rock your
baby to sleep or use your rocking chair as a comfy spot for breastfeeding.
Choose from classic wooden rockers or cushioned gliders in a
variety of styles and patterns. Diaper Pail: Keep dirty diaper odors out
of the nursery with a diaper pail and diaper pail refill bags. Crib: Your baby may be too small for a crib in these first few months, but she will outgrow her bassinet sooner than you think. Be sure to get a sturdy crib mattress and choose your favorite crib bedding and accessories when you buy your crib. Hamper: New babies create a lot of dirty
laundry. A nice hamper will keep the nursery tidy. Feeding Nursing Pillow: Nursing pillows provide
comfortable support for your arms or for your baby’s head while you
breastfeed. As your baby gets
older, nursing pillows are also great for propping your baby as he drinks
a bottle, plays, or learns to sit. Breast Pump: Breast pumps are essential
for working mothers and great for breastfeeding moms that want a night out
with dad. Stock up also on breast
milk storage bags or containers and have plenty of bottles and
nipples. Bottle Warmer: Electric bottle warmers
are great for warming refrigerated or defrosted breast milk or formula
bottles.
Baby Swing: Rock your baby in a baby
swing or swinging bassinet. For
your newborn, be sure to choose a swing that reclines. Bouncer:
Baby bouncy seats take up relatively little space and can entertain
your baby while you cook, work, or pay attention to your older children. Many bouncers are equipped with vibrators, toys, and/or
music. Mobile: Chose a black and white mobile
for your infant who cannot see colors yet!

around your house to monitor that your baby is safe and sound even when
you are in another room.

them individually or buy a child-proofing kit. Bath Time Slip-proof bath mat: Prevent dangerous slipping and sliding with a soft rubber bath mat. Bath seat: Keep your baby sitting upright and in one place to keep bath time safe and easy.
For Toddlers (18 months & up):Furniture Convertible crib: Be sure your crib can accommodate your growing baby by lowering the crib mattress. Many cribs can be converted to toddler beds. Crib tent: If your toddler starts climbing over the sides of the crib, cover it with a crib tent to keep him safely inside. Toddler bed: Toddler beds make the transition from the crib to a big bed easy. Bed Rail: When your toddler is ready to sleep in a big bed, prevent him from rolling out by using a side bed rail.
Travel Gear Car seat: Most front-facing car seats hold at least 40 lbs. You may look for a car seat that converts to a booster seat since most boosters hold between 80 and 100 lbs. and will better grow with your child. Booster seat: Choose a booster with a harness or one that works with your car’s seat belts as a belt-positioning seat. Some booster seats are relatively lightweight and are great for travel and carpooling. Lightweight/Umbrella stroller: Umbrella strollers are great for running errands and going on outings. They are lightweight and fold up small to fit easily into your car. Stroller attachment: If you have more than one child, consider buying a stroller attachment that your older child or toddler can stand on while you push the younger one in the stroller. Leash: Be sure to keep your adventurous toddler close by at all times while traveling or shopping. Meal Time Booster seat: Your toddler is eating grown-up food and wants a seat at the table. Place a booster seat on an extra chair or attach one to your table.
Toilet Training Training potty/toilet seat: Buy a freestanding training potty or a toilet seat cover that is just the right size for your toddler. Training pants/training diapers Bedwetting alarms and indicators: Even toilet-trained children can still have trouble with bedwetting. Bedwetting alarms can help your child stop bedwetting fast. Step stool: Help your child reach the
potty on her own or reach the bathroom sink to wash up after potty time. Playtime Arts and crafts: Let your toddler’s creative juices flow. Equip your budding artist with a child-size craft table and chairs, an easel, a chalkboard, or an art desk. Educational Toys: Choose from the multitude of educational toys available to help stimulate and develop your toddler’s learning skills. Creative play toys: Help stimulate your toddler’s imagination. Buy a play kitchen for your amateur chef, a tool bench for your striving workman, or a playhouse and doll furniture for your little mommy or daddy.
